Early Management of Severe Trauma (EMST)
Early Management of Severe Trauma (EMST) is an intensive course in the management of injury victims in the first one to two hours following injury. The course emphasises life-saving skills and systematic clinical approach to managing severe trauma. It is a two and half day course adapted from the Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLSĀ®) course of the American College of Surgeons in 1988.
